Wadi Dawkah fuses Omani craftsmanship and savoir-faire with international standards of sustainability and traceability, sourcing a unique ingredient from a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Amouage is continuing the wonderful journey that began with the Incense Route thousands of years ago.

The Land of Frankincense is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
2015
Prior to his accession, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said visits Wadi Dawkah for the Frankincense Festival in his capacity as Minister of Heritage and Culture.

The Omani Ministry of Heritage and Tourism partners with Amouage to develop a historical frankincense cultivation site.
2023
Amouage launches its sustainability plan that blends best-in-class Omani and international knowledge with local traditions to safeguard the site and Oman’s biodiversity for future generations.
